operators worldwide over the last 11 years as part of
telecom/network management applications ranging from small mission
specific solutions to very large scale telecom applications. We consider it as possibly

Auto-discovery of equipment,
services.
Automatically detects and recognizes equipment on the network and
the services/applications available on the equipment.
Service and Resource availability
Monitoring .
Monitors the availability of
services on the network through individual polling. Raises alarms on
availability failure and collects availability statistics. Graphs
with 24H, 7D, 30D and 365D availability
figures.
Host Resource
Monitoring . Monitors host resources,
like disk space, CPU'se and memory. Generates alarms if usage
exceeds preset levels.
Printer Resource
Monitoring . Monitors the resource
usage on printers. Generates alarms when e.g. the toner is
low.
Monitor Windows Event
Logs . Monitors the Event Logs
of Windows Servers for errors and warnings. Alarms are generated
accordingly.
SensatronicsEnvironmental
Monitor. As an
example of the versatility of Q3ADE 3G, we have added a component
monitoring Sensatronics environmental sensors.
Manage Alarms
History . Logs
and maintains alarm history, i.e.
information about the alarm and its "lifecycle", like the content of the
original alarm event, when it was cleared, if the operator has seen
it (i.e. acknowledged it), repeated alarm events etc.
Alert by Mail . An alert mail may be
issued automatically to any number of mail addresses with information about
specific alarms, when they occur.
Generate Inventory
Reports. A range of predefined inventory reports
may be produced, like disk usage statistics, Internet address
usage, Availability statistics reports on various key
services.
Interactive Map View
Design. Configure your own graphical map
views of pretty much any information available through Q3ADE 3G. Do
it interactively "on-the-fly" by drag-dropping information objects
to a map and tailor the presentation of the information to your

Localization
Support. Support for
multiple languages on the same server installation. I.e. the same
server may serve users with different language preferences.
A
specialized web
server. The Q3ADE 3G platform provides
management information access through its build-in web server
function. You may design customized web-services using a general
purpose web designer tool.
Multi-User
Support and end-to-end security. Several hundreds of users
may access the Q3ADE 3G Server at the same time from remote
workstations. It only requires a Q3Browser or a web browser,
depending on the application. Each user has his/her own individual
login account with individual settings with respect to access
rights, presentation profiling, language preference, access
profiling etc..
Integrates
with 3'rd party CORBA and Q3/CMIP Applications . Supports
the CORBA and Q3/CMIP protocols used by various Telecom Equipment
Vendors.
Manage
equipment with SNMP, TL1 and CLI protocols like Telnet, SSH, RSH,
HTTP. Q3ADE 3G is a general purpose management platform,
where you can add your own management scripts to operate on
equipment through a range of legacy management protocols as well as
using S.O.A web technology.
Remote
Telnet and SSH access through Q3ADE 3G. Some equipment
require direct telnet access, e.g. to tailor settings in the
equipment. Q3ADE 3G act as a secure gateway/tunnel, through which
the user gain access from a remote location to the equipment behind
the company firewall.
Export/Import to/from other
applications. Data may be exported
to any ODBC enabled database and equally imported by simple
scripting operations. Interacts with high-end TMN applications through Q3/CMIP, CORBA
and HTTP/XML.

Q3ADE 3G is designed for scalability.
It runs on simple PC hardware and multicore CPU as well as on huge multi-processor Sun
installations. It runs on multiple distributed hosts to scale
capacity even further. The typical peak transaction capacity starts
at 100 TPS (transactions per second) on a low-grade retail PC and
exceeds 10.000 TPS on a multi-host Sun cluster.
Q3ADE 3G cost scales with capacity requirements.
The license price of Q3ADE 3G scales with the number of services enabled and the
number of concurrently managed equipment or users attached. Hence,
the price for a single user/single equipment configuration is
considerably lower than a high-end multi-user/multi-equipment
