The CommScope/Andrew Monitor Solution
The Q3ADE 3G AIMOSMON component provides
advanced alarm status monitoring for monitoring CommScope/Andrew (TM) Wireless network equipment.
The Q3ADE 3G AIMOSMON component captures alarms and actively
monitors the alarm status through the A.I.M.O.S (TM) Management
system provided by CommScope/Andrew.
The AIMOSMON component automatically uploads and maintains a graphical view of the
configuration and the alarm status by means of the advanced mapview technology
of Q3ADE.
With Q3ADE 3G
and the AIMOSMON component, you may :
System overview:

Multiple ADC sites may be monitored by one central Q3ADE 3G system and viewed
by many users across Internet.
Display the alarm status of multiple Andrew Sites graphically
The Q3ADE 3G Drill-down Map views presents the systems
graphically with colors illustrating the alarm status.
The initial map configuration is created automatically based on the
configuration information uploaded from the AIMOS EMS. These maps may then be
organized and tailored to your needs, e.g. illustrating the geographical
locations of the equipment or even illustrate the position of individual
components in the racks.
The tailoring and maintenance of the maps may be performed interactively by your
staff with limited instructions required. It may even be done in the field,
e.g. at inspection.
Up to appr. 100 remote users may be connected to the central Q3ADE 3G Manager at
at the same time. Individual user's access to the map views may be
restriced according to their needs. The communication to remote users
is performed using SSL, a highly secure protocol, which allows communication
across insecure medias like Internet.
Manage the alarm lifecycle
The Alarm Management Function (AMF) of Q3ADE 3G provides advanced features like
repeated alarms correlation, operator acknowledge, automatic alarm clearing,
separate views of the alarm information per sub-system, export of alarm
information etc.
Issue alert mails
The alert mail function, an integral part of the Alarm Manager Function,
issues e-mails to any number of receivers when e.g. a new alarm is raised. An
advanced alert policy concept allows you to set up very advanced alert
procedures, e.g. only to issue alerts on specific alarm types with specific
severity from specific resources or even "alert escalation", e.g. if an alarm
has not been acknowledged by the NOC operator within a specific time, then send
an alert to the NOC manager - and so on. The alert policies may be configured
interactively by the NOC staff with limited instruction.
Integrate management of alarms from numerous other sources
The Q3ADE 3G Management platform offers a range of interfaces to
collect alarms from high-end telecom/network equipment. You get an
aggregated view of the alarm states of your network across different
technologies and vedors. Visit the "Integration list" to get an impression
of the range of supported vendors/technologies.
